Draft physician letters, summarise findings, inform patients clearly: all relevant AI models in one GDPR-compliant platform that takes medical confidentiality and Section 203 of the German Criminal Code seriously.

AI makes no diagnosis and replaces no medical decision. It takes over the documentation, writing and research that cost hours every day. Six use cases from practices and clinics.
Type a few bullet points or dictate them: the result is a structured draft for a physician letter, discharge report or referral. Review and sign-off stay with you.
Long prior findings, lab values and external reports as a condensed overview with the relevant points. Saves reading time before the consultation.
Prepare diagnoses, treatment plans and aftercare instructions in plain language, in multiple languages if needed. As a letter, handout or conversation guide.
Drafts for cost coverage requests, appeals to payers, rehabilitation applications and certificates based on your guidelines and templates.
Academic search and web search with citable sources as a fast entry into guidelines and studies. A starting point for your own assessment, not a replacement for the product information.
Custom AI assistants built on your knowledge: standard procedures, consent texts, hygiene plans and internal processes. Usable by the whole team.
The need is the same everywhere: less documentation load, more time with patients. So are the requirements for data protection and confidentiality.
General and specialist practices as well as medical care centres: physician letters, referrer communication and practice organisation in one place.
Discharge reports, handovers and administration. With roles and permissions per department and central oversight for IT.
Dentists, psychotherapists and other health professionals. They fall under Section 203 too and need the same assurances.
Care facilities, rehabilitation clinics and healthcare providers: documentation, communication with relatives and internal processes.
Doctors are named first in Section 203 (1) no. 1 of the German Criminal Code. Professional codes and Art. 9 GDPR for health data apply on top. As a service provider, innoGPT delivers the confidentiality commitment under Section 203.
With the Section 203 licence, innoGPT contractually commits to confidentiality as a contributing person. That is the prerequisite for involving us at all.
With the Section 203 licence: hosted in Berlin, ISO 27001 certified. Your inputs are never used to train AI models.
Data processing agreement with technical and organisational measures. You set retention periods in the platform yourself.
SAML SSO and role-based access control: you decide which professional groups and departments access which data and models.

Physicians spend a substantial part of their working day not with patients but at a screen: physician letters, documentation, applications, correspondence with payers and referrers. This is where the greatest and at the same time lowest-risk potential for AI lies. It takes over drafting and summarising, while medical assessment stays where it belongs: with the treating physician.
Sensible use starts with the writing. A few bullet points become a structured physician letter draft, a stack of prior findings becomes a condensed overview, a complex diagnosis becomes an explanation patients understand. Applications to payers and communication with referrers speed up considerably too. The framing is clear: AI outputs are drafts that are reviewed and approved by a physician. innoGPT is not a medical device and makes no treatment decisions.
Patient data is among the most strictly protected data there is. It is subject to medical confidentiality under Section 203 and professional codes, and under data protection law additionally to Art. 9 GDPR as a special category of personal data. An AI provider must therefore deliver more than a GDPR statement: a contractual confidentiality commitment as a contributing person, processing within the EU, a contractual commitment not to train on your data and a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. innoGPT meets these four points with the Section 203 licence and hosts in Berlin for it.
The biggest hurdle is rarely the technology. Without clear rules, staff use private AI accounts, and patient data ends up outside the organisation uncontrolled. A staged rollout works best, with defined use cases such as physician letter drafts and patient information, short trainings per professional group and clear governance settings for access and retention. innoGPT accompanies this path personally, from the first demo to an organisation-wide standard.
Note: this page provides general information on AI usage in healthcare professions. It does not replace legal advice for your individual case. innoGPT is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnostic purposes.
Send us your question: on GDPR and contracts, on features and pricing, or on how practices and clinics use innoGPT in line with Section 203. We reply within 24 hours. Note: we currently enable the Section 203 mode on request only. Drop us a line and we will arrange activation for your team.
